I know, I know. But Jay, you gasp, it’s only been a week since Kanka 3.6 came out. And I hear you – I wasn’t planning an update so quickly, but things just kept… happening? But don’t worry, it’s a smaller update focused on two little gifts I wanted to get out in time for the holidays. Things that has been requested multiple times.
Introducing campaign-wide connections web
You know how entities have a connections map showing how they are connected to the rest of your world? Those are cool and all, but having it for the whole campaign would be even more cool! I’ve constantly said that it would be an issue on larger campaigns, and that hasn’t changed per say, but we now have way more powerful servers (and I’ve become slightly better at coding over the years), enough so that having a campaign-wide connections web can now happen.

To find the new web, go to your campaign’s connections page and click on “view web”.
This brings you to a new web page just focused on exploring your web of connections.

Clicking on an entity brings up its tooltip. Handy!

Clicking on a connection allows you to edit or remove it, without reloading the page!
Limitations
It’s not currently possible to add a new connection from this page. We’re working on it.
Tighter inventory
But wait, that’s not all! We know the new inventory UI we introduced earlier in 2025 wasn’t a huge success due to various factors. We’ve taken your feedback to heart and worked on a new, tighter interface.

We’ve re-used our grid layouts with its big focus on images, while keeping the rest of the info that is really needed nearby. You can now control, at the help of the top-bar toggles, if you want item quantity, object price, weight, or size visible. Quantity is always shown by default, and price is also shown by default if the current entity who’s inventory you’re watching is a location. The idea being that location inventories are usually shops, where displaying price right out of the gate is useful.
We know that some users desire their inventories to be even tighter, and invite our crafty artisans to create plugins for those specific needs.
General improvements
We’ve cleaned up the UI of a bunch of entity subpages.
On the entity abilities subpage, we’ve moved the less-often clicked buttons into a submenu.

Clicking “Add from races” now also brings up a small confirmation modal, detailing how many abilities will be imported from each of the character’s races.

Same on the assets subpage, instead of 3 massive big buttons, we have a dropdown with clearer icons and labels.

And same for the inventory subpage.

Lastly, when accessing the quick entity permission overview interface, we’ve switched the privacy dropdown to two options always visible with clearer info as to what they do.

Bug fixes
Campaign exports now use a custom module’s plural name as the folder instead of the singular name.
Campaign imports now create custom module bookmarks with the plural name instead of the singular name.
Fixed a bug where PayPal subscribers were sometimes blocked from re-subscribing at the end of the their subscription.
That’s it. I’ll now go and enjoy the holidays with my family, who support me in all this madness. See you in 2026!
